BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 05th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing,Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan ,Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
