SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State and rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Magway, Bago Regoins and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.46) inches in Myeik, (3.03) inches in Launglon, (2.60) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.32) inches in Khayan, (1.89) inches in Thaton, (1.75) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.46) inches in Ye, (1.42) inches in Taungkok, (1.38) inches in Kungyangon and (1.26) inches each in Taungkok and Paung Byin.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (9-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
