SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Magway Regoin and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (7.09) inches in Myeik, (4.64) inches in Myitkyina, (3.35) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (3.23) inches in Dawei, (3.11) inches in Pauktaw, (3.08) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.79) inches in Thaton, (2.48) inches each in Ponnagyun and Theinzayet, (2.33) inches in Ngazun, (2.28) inches in Chaungsone and (2.21) inches in Sittwe.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure cell over the Northest Bay of Bengal and further intensified into a Low Pressure Area. It may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next (24) hrs. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Northern Myanmar areas.
