SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Ayeyarwady Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above March average temperature in Kayin State, (5°C) to (6°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about March average temperatures in Northern Shan and Chin States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Tada U (Aviation-Met) and Magway. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.67) inch in Putao, (0.28) inch in Machanbaw and (0.08) inch in Hakmti.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th March, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kayah, Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
