SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Mon States and generally fair in the remainingRegions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Kayin State and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and (2°C) above February average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Regionand Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern)ShanState, (5°C) to (6°C) above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kayah State and about February average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Namsam, (6°C) in Kyaukmae and Mongyang and (7°C) in Heho.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal almost stationary and it is centered at about (745) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island, (860) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (70) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and (230) Nautical miles Southeast of Karaikal(India). Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd February, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%).Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
