SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, widespread in Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (4.02)inches, Tamu (3.82)inches, Putao (3.43)inches, Thandaunggyi (1.85) inches, Paing Kyone (1.65)inches, Yay (1.57)inches and Kyobinkauk (1.53)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10h July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Shan (North and East) and Kayah States and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.
