SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (6°C) below January average temperature inChin State, (3°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below January averagetemperatures in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and (2°C) above January average temperature inNaypyitaw and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatureswere (-6°C) in Hakha, (1°C)each in Namsam and Mongyang, (2°C) in Tiddim, (3°C) each in Kyaukmae, Heho and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea andSouth Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th January, 2023:Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and generally fair inthe remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States.
