SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Bago Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hainggyikyun (8.07)inches, Kawthong (4.33) inches, Khayan (4.06)inches, Maungdaw (3.90)inches, Myeik (3.39)inches, Labutta (3.35)inches, Hlaingbwe (2.60)inches, Yangon(Kaba-aye) (2.48)inches, Sittwe (2.16)inches, Taungkok (1.97)inches, Central Yangon (1.89) inches and Kyauktaw (1.85)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Shan and Chin States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.
