SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Eastern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State, (5°C) above January average temperature in Naypyitaw and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Namsam, (4°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang and (5°C) in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th January, 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
