SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Southern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kyeikkhame (4.02)inches, Chaungsone (3.39)inches, Manaung and Yay (3.23)inches each, Mudon and Launglone (2.76)inches each,  Myeik (2.17)inches, Thandwe (1.93)inches and Taungkok (1.77)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, (Eastern & Southern) Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Northern Shan and Chin States, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon.
