SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Kayin State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below November average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Mon States, (3°C) above November average temperature in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Tiddim, (8°C) in Putao and (9°C) each in Falam and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.60) inches in Phyarpon, (2.16) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (1.96) inches in Kawthaung, (1.38) inches each in Nyaunglaybin, Yangon(Mingaladon) and Yangon(Botahtaung), (1.10) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (1.07) inches each in Hpasaung and Mudon.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and gradually concentrate into a Depression over South Bay of Bengal during next (48)hrs. It is likely to reach North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) around (23.11.2022). Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th November, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Mon States, fairly widespread in Kayah, Kayin States, scattered in Bago Region and Rakhine State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
