BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Mora” over East Central Bay and adjoining North Bay of Bengal has moved to North wards adjoining of Bengal has moved to North wards. It is centered at about (65)miles North-Northwest of Sittwe, (120)miles Northwest of Kyaukphyu and (35)miles Southwest of Maungdaw(Myanmar), (110)miles South-Southwest of Chittagong (Bangladesh). It is forecast to move North-Northeast wards. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and East Central Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Shan and Kayah States, widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Frequent squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.
