BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and moderate over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in theremaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional Squall with rough seas may be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40)mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
