SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hrs, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Northern & Southern) Shan State, widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Bago and Yangon Regions, isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperature were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Gangaw, (42°C) each in Kalaywa, Aunglan,  Taungdwingyi and Bawlakhae and (41°C) each in Kalay, Minkin and Tatkon. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Theinzayet (2.20)inches, Sittwe (2.13)inches, Khayan (1.77)inches, Bago (1.73) inches, Zayarthiri (Theikchaung) (1.06)inches and Ann (0.83)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay. Weather is a few clouds over the North Bay and West Central Bay, partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions and Mon State, scattered in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Deltaic areas.
