SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in LowerSagaingRegion, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Eastern Shan,Chin, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway, AyeyarwadyRegions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.66) inches each inBhamo and Labutta, (2.88) inches each in Monyin and Coco-Island, (2.42) inches in Pon Na Gyun, (2.13) inches in Laymyatnar, (1.77) inches in Manaung, (1.75) inches inHtilin, (1.73) inches in Pathein, (1.70) inches in Kalewa, (1.65) inches each in Ram Bree and Chaungsone and (1.61) inches in Gwa.

BAY INFERENCE According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over North Odisha now lies over coastal Odisha(India) still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State,fairly widespread inNaypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, KayinStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region.
