BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th May, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with moderate to rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of Southwest monsoon advance into the Southern Myanmar areas.
