SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.33) inches in Tagaung, (3.70) inches in Paing Kyone, (2.99) inches in Launglon, (2.88) inches in Dawei, (2.48) inches in Pauk Taw, (2.40) inches in Central Yangon, (2.36) inches each in Kani and Thabeikkyin, (2.33) inches in Khayan and (1.89) inches in Labutta.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
