SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.03) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.71) inches in Kawthaung, (2.60) inches in Ye, (2.28)inches in Mudon, (2.12)inches each in Gwa and Mawlamyine, (1.90) inches in Kya-In-Sekkyi, (1.81)inches in Hainggyigyun, (1.74)inches in Mogoke, (1.70)inches each in Maubin, Thaton and Chaungsoneand (1.54)inches each in Paung, Dawei and Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing,Mandalay, Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States.
