SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan, Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Rakhine, Mon States and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan State, (4°C) below May average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan Sates, (6°C) below May average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayah States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Tharrawady, (39°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Chauk and Ann. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.47) inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), (2.58) inches in Singaing, (2.56) inches each in Kyaukse and Myittha, (2.32) inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), (1.93) inches in Hkamti, (1.89) inches in Myingyan, (1.81) inches in Paungbyin and (1.77) inches in Zalun.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
