SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Eastern Shan and Kayah States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw and MonState, (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States, (5°C) to (6°C) below April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah States and (7°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about April average temperatures in Chin and Rakhine States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C)inNaunglaybin and (37°C) each inNaypyitaw (Zayarthiri), Chauk, Taunggu and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.88) inches in Putao, (0.71) inch in Machanbaw, (0.24) inch each in Mogoke and Manaung, (0.19) inch in Kawthaung, (0.16) inch each in Shwegu and Naungcho, (0.11) inch in Bhamo and (0.08) inch each in Myitkyina and Muse.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th April, 2022:Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaingand TaninthayiRegions, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
