SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Southern Shan, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (North and East)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and generally fair in Naypyitaw and Magway Region. Day temperatures were (7°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State, (5°C) above March average temperatures in Northern Shan, Chin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and (South and East)Shan, Kayah, Mon States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Tada U (Aviation Met), Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Bawlakhae and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.32) inch in Myeik and (0.04) inch each in Ye and Launglon.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southwest Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
