SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (7°C) in Tongzan, (8°C) each in Heho and Tiddim.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch each in Putao and Machanbaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudyover the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13thJanuary, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%).Weather will bepartly cloudyin Kayin and Mon States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
