SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has beengenerally fair inNaypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, RakhineStates and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were(2°C) above January average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regionsand(3°C) to (4°C)above January average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) in Pyinoolwin and (5°C) each in Kyaukmae, Namsam, Tiddim and Mogoke and (6°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung and Loilin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rdJanuary, 2022: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
