SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and BagoRegions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.25) inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), (2.13) inches in Launglon, (1.89) inches in Naypyitaw(Otarathiri), (1.55) inches in Myeik, (1.48)inches in Thazi and (1.38) inches in Naypyitaw(Pyinmana).

BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES:According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the Tropical strom “LIONROCK” over the Gulf of Tokin has downgraded into the Tropical depression and is crossing to the Upper Vietnam coast near Nam Dinh.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th October, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and (Souhern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar Areas.
