SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.84)inches in Bhamo, (2.40) inches in Phayathonesu, (2.33) inches in Homalin, (2.09) inches in Vaar(Falam), (1.92) inches in Gyobingauk,(1.89) inches in Loilin, (1.81) inches in Tharrawady, (1.73) inches in Moemate, (1.69) inches in Taunggyi and (1.58) inches in Yangon(Kaba-Aye).
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloudover the North Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Deltaic Myanmar areas.
