SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the North Bay of Bengal and the Central Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayin States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon Regions and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.57) inches in Taunggyi, (1.50) inches in Ramthlo, (1.42) inches in Dawei, (1.37) inches in Mawlamyine, (0.83) inch in Thazi(Hlaingtat), (0.79) inch in Mingin and (0.75) inch in Launglon.
BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (10:00)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure areaover the Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal has crossed to the coastal areas of West Bengal (India).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th September, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and scattered in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
