BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (18:30) hrs MST today, the tropical storm “DIANMU” over the South China Sea, it is centered at about (90)miles East of Danang (Vietnam) and forecast to move Northwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 24thSeptember, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 – 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (6-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
