Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (16-21) of May. During this period, monsoon will be moderate. A low pressure area may form over the South Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Mandalay, Magway, Chin and Rakhine states, below normal in Taninthayi region and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states .
Rainy days are expected about (6) to (8) days in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon state, about (3) to (5) days in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern and Eastern Shan and Kayah states.

Day Temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Shan, Chin, and Kayah states and about normal in Kachin states.
