30-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 695 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 115 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 110 Nautical miles East of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

 Flood condition of Shwegyin River

      According to the (11:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Shwegyin River at Shwegyin has exceeded by (3) cm above its danger level. It may continue to rise from the present water level about (½) foot during the next (2) days and may remain above its danger level.

Advisory

      It is especially advertised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Shwegyin Township to take precaution measure.
