25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Water level forecast for First(10) days of March 2019

            The water levels of Ayeyarwady  river are forecasted to rise above  the present water levels by about (1-3) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu ,Katha, Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu,  Pakokku,  Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway and about(½-1) foot at Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun. 

           The water levels of Chindwin river are forecasted to rise above the present water levels by about (1-2) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and about((½-1) foot at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
