SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Magway Region, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Khayan (5.24)inches, Taungkok and Manaung (5.12)inches each, Belin (3.86)inches, Thaton (3.70)inches, Kyainseikkyi (3.34)inches, Htilin (3.18)inches, Mindat and Hpa-an (2.99)inches each and Nay Pyi Taw (Zabuthiri) (1.46)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 8th July, 2015: Rain will be scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.
