23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th June, 2015: Rain will be fairly widespread in  Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of rain in the Rakhine Coastal areas.
