27-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 745 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 355 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past

(24) hours,weather have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in

Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Magway Region and

widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in

Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine,Kayin and Mon States

and isolated heavy falls in Magway Region, Kachin and Chin States.

The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Sittwe (14.84)inches,

Kyaukpyu (13.98)inches,Maungdaw (13.23)inches, Ann (12.87)inches, Taungkok

(9.33)inches, Gwa (8.86)inches, Manaung (8.62)inches, Launglone (7.51)inches,

Myauk U (7.44)inches, Hinthada (7.36)inches, Thandunggyi (7.20)inches,

Kyauktaw (6.69)inches, Thandwe (6.54)inches, Phyarpon (6.49)inches, Mawlamyine

and Chaungsone (6.45)inches each, Ngathaichaung (6.06)inches,

Kyeikmayaw (5.98)inches ,Paung (5.91) inches, Mudon (5.43) inches, Kyeikkhame

(5.35) inches, Kyainseikkyi(5.32) inches,Yay (5.24) inches, Zalun (5.00) inches,

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th June, 2015: Rain will be

scattered in  Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay

and Magway Regions,Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining

Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Bago, Ayeyarwady

and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, isolated heavy falls in

Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced

off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of strong monsoon.
