26-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 770 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 405 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over East Central Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate in the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th May, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough sea will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in the Deltaic areas.
