SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, Northern Shan and Chin States, isolated in Southern Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Bago Region, Shan and Kayah States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (42°C) each in Magway and Aunglan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Chaungsone (2.44)inches, Paung (2.20)inches, Thaton (1.69)inches, Mawlaik (1.26)inches, Falam (1.14)inches, Bhamo, Mudon and Kyeikkhame (1.11)inches each, Mingin and Pyinoolwin (1.02)inches each, Zabuthiri (0.67)inch, Pinlaebu (0.59)inch and Mawlamyine (0.55)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the Southwest Bay and  partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th MAY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State, fairly widespread in Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3- 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
