SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, isolated in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan and Kayah States, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) above April average temperatures in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Taunggu, (42°C) each in Pyinmana, Sinphyugyun and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Lunkyaw (0.75)inch, Minesat and Monywa (0.44)inch each, Pinlaung (0.39)inch, Heho (0.35)inch, Kengtung (0.32)inch and Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) (0.24)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few clouds elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, (Eastern and Southern)Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, isolated in Magway and Bago Regions, Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
