SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Southern Shan and Mon States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions and Kayin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) below April average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pinlaung (1.77)inches, Myeik (1.29)inches, Paung (0.63)inch, Katha (0.62)inch, Hakha (0.44)inch, Pinlaebu (0.43)inch, Belin (0.39)inch, Kengtung and Mawlaik(0.35)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th APRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw and Magway Region, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
