SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin State, isolated in Ayeyarwady Region and Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Kyobinkauk and Bawlakhae, (41°C) each in Kalaywa, Yeu, Myingyan and Minbu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Naungcho (2.01) inches, Putao (0.47) inch, Hkamti (0.43) inch, Myitkyina (0.39) inch, Machanbaw (0.35) inch and Bhamo, Sagaing and Meikhtila (0.32) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair in the North Bay and partly cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th April, 2015: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, isolated in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
