SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below January average temperature in Bago Region and 2°C above January average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 0.5°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 3.0°C each in Hakha and Heho, 4.0°C each in Pyinoolwin and Loilin, 4.8°C in Putao, 5.2°C in Mongyang, 5.5°C in Tiddim, 8.0°C in Machanbaw, 8.2°C in Nyaung Shwe, 8.5°C in Pinlaung, 8.7°C each in Taunggyi and Minesat and 9.0°C each in Myitkyina and Kengtung.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17thJanuary 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
