SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C above December average temperatures in Yangon, Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, 3°C to 4°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan State and about December average in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.7°C in Hakha, 5.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 6.8°C in Putao, 7.3°C in Myitkyina, 7.5°C each in Tiddim and Pyinoolwin, 8.8°C in Machanbaw, 9.0°C each in Heho and Loilin and 10.0°C in Mongyang.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Central Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th December 2024: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
