SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in the whole country. Night temperatures were 2°C below December average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and 2°C above December average temperatures in Yangon, Bago Regions, 3°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State, 5°C to 6°C above December average temperatures in Kayah, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and about December average in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were -1.2°C in Hakha, 5.3°C in Putao, 5.7°C in Pyinoolwin, 6.0°C in Tiddim, 6.3°C in Myitkyina, 9.2°C in Pinlaung, 9.3°C in Machanbaw, 10.4°C in Hkamti and 11.0°C in Mingin.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay(off South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu Coasts) still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach Southwest Bay of Bengal(near North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India) during 24-12-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastern Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Tropical Depression over south china sea has moved slowly Westwards and intensified into a tropical strom “PABUK”. It is likely continue to move slowly Westwards and reach to Eastern Vietnam coasts during 25-12-2024.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th December 2024: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
