BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal further intensified into a Depression and reached over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast). It is centered at about 565 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st December 2024: Rain will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Eastern Shan States and fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachine, Chin, (Northern and Sourthern) Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h and wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast. See will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
