21-12-2024: According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal further intensified into a Depression and reached over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast). It is centered at about 565 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 36 hours.
