18-12-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and reach to North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts, India during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move nearly Northwards and move along Andhra Pradesh Coast during 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain h‌ave been isolated in Eastern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below December average temperatures in Kachin, Rakhine States and 2°C above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State, 3°C to 4°C above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Mon States and about December average temperatures, 5°C above December average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 0.0°C in Hakha, 7.8°C in Myitkyina, 8.7°C in Tiddim, 10.2°C in Putao, 11.2°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 11.4°C in Pyinoolwin and 11.8°C in Heho.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Central Bay and cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th December 2024: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
