23-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain h‌ave been isolated in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below November average temperature in Kachin State and 2°C above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 6.7°C in Hakha, 9.2°C in Putao, 9.5°C in Tiddim, 10.1°C in Namsam(Southern Shan) and 10.3°C in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall record were 0.79 inch in Pyinoolwin, 0.12 inch in Phyarpon and 0.08 inch in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Special Features: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm (MAN-YI) over the South China Sea has moved Southwestwards and downgraded into a Tropical Depression.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st November 2024: Rain will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan, Chin States.
