20-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 12 hours and it is likely to move North-Northeastwards during 36 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into well marked low pressure area during next (24)hrs, thereafter it may further intensify into a depression and may reach to North Tamil Nadu and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India around 17-10-2024. Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 15th October 2024: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal.
