21-12-2024: According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal further intensified into a Depression and reached over Westcentral Bay of Bengal(off Andhra Pradesh coast). It is centered at about 565 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 230 Nautical miles South of Visakhapatnam(India). The centre pressure of Depression is (1003) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.20 inches in Htilin, 1.93 inches in Naypyitaw (Zayarthiri), 1.38 inches each in Taunggyi and Ela, 1.21 inches in Kyaukpadaung, 0.70 inch in Yedashe, 0.63 inch each in Pathein and Myeik, 0.60 inch each in Oktwin and Paukkhaung and 0.47 inch in Gyobingauk . 

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthay Regions. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in Southern Myanmar areas.
