25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal.  It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.87 inches in Machanbaw, 2.36 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi), 2.26 inches in Nanyun, 1.73 inches each in Hkamti and Kalay, 1.54 inches in Lahe, 1.45 inches in Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri),  1.42 inches each in Putao, Sittwe and Myeik, 1.26 inches in Mawlamyinegyun, 1.18 inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi and 1.02 inches in Kyonepyaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th October 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of southwest monsoon from the Deltaic Myanmar Areas.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 7th October 2024:             Likelihood of isolated light rain with sunny period. Degree of certainty is 60%.
