29-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 670 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 200 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 185 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Low Pressure Cell over Eastcentral Bay and adjoining North Andaman Sea has moved Westwards and now lies over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Westwards and may intensify into a Low Pressure Area over the Central Bay of Bengal during (24) hours.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Regions and Chin, Rakhine States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35 m.p.h. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
