BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th September 2024: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhie, Kayin, Mon States.
STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 35-40 mph. Wave height will be about 8-10 feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
